When we post videos it is a big deal...because we haven't been since the year began!
If you remember our older website we were always posting videos. A sign we weren't doing enough events and spending too much time online. Now we struggle to maintain our website's current standings because we ARE doing 3-4 parties and/or shows every week! What does any of this have to do with this post? Everything. This song and video version of it are great. It came as a surprise because the version #djfreedomlives plays is his own version along with the original and Armando's version (you'll just have to come to the parties to hear it for yourself). Speaking of which, you see our weeklies POSTED HERE but you can hear THIS remix at Sutra on Fridays at Sutra (see our EVENT PAGE) and if not, then just send an email to [email protected]. If you are NOT in NYC then tell us where you are and we'll tell you how songs and videos like this can be part of your life. :D Until soon, #partyresponsibly

#mixtogomassive is #amplified to announce the birth of our new social network. "Mix To Go Massive: The Ultimate NYC Social Network" launched today HERE.
It isn't the first time we've been part of the meetup family. When Mix To Go Magazine launched back in 2008, a meetup group was created as a way to promote the publication. We had groups in NYC, Miami, Atlanta, Houston and Las Vegas. The group had hundreds to thousands of members...but the team leaders in each of those cities were not organized, didn't comply with our basic rules to maintain ongoing events for members and ultimately, we folded them all. Re-entering the social network landscape, a lot of thought and time went into the re-launch of our presence on meetup. They do a lot to get people to join your group, but nothing once they are members...because the thinking is, YOU create the group and they help a little; YOU engage them with your content and offline events so they stay interested. The problem with Meetup.com then and now is they offer so many group options that groups don't maintain credibility because all people are doing is joining them and not staying active in them. That was our problem years ago...but our program is different this time! In addition to social mixers and parties, we also host movie meets, concerts, live shows featuring local talent in Brooklyn and Manhattan, cruises, gatherings at the beaches and boardwalks and parks of New York City...it is sprawling, but most importantly it is member-driven as well as organizer-driven. We also have a half-dozen organizing partners in NYC as well as Miami and Las Vegas (we are keeping our focus narrow this time). Each of them will focus on different kinds of gatherings and once a month a gathering known as our "membership drive" invites new and established members to come to an event that changes in style and location monthly to encourage something "new" and refreshing. Our first gathering takes place at SUTRA NYC (see our FIRST EVENT by clicking on THIS LINK). We'll give away free magazines, CDs and host drink specials all night. Well, mo Join us today as membership is FREE. See our group page to see what MIX TO GO MASSIVE is all about. See you in the mix! "SPLASH DANCE" kicks off where "Dance After Dark" leaves off. Every Thursday beginning again at AQUA LOUNGE this new EDM party will take flight! #mixtogomassive is powering this one and we are #amplified about our new lineup with resident #djfreedomlives and new residents in rotation Steve Nieves (Spic Set), Kevin Starks and Nikita Golubin (Animalism, Atlantic City).
This mix of electronic dance music (EDM) will re-launch at AQUA Thursday, July 11 and continue weekly through the summer months. Ladies are FREE 8-11pm and only $10 after; gents are FREE 8-10pm and only $10 after on the guest list until 1am or $15 after. We hope to see you there! #mixtogomassive || (305) 707-4730 for more info! It reminds me of the weather in NYC. Sometimes it is pleasant and welcoming, other times I can't figure out what's happening. In The Mix Printing & Graphics came along at a time when too many other things took up my time. It's just that simple. So into the trash go all those leftover flyers, business cards and potential contacts. Get with some of the local area businesses for your printing and graphic needs. I encourage it. Enjoy the last days of one of the strangest spring seasons. It isn't summer yet. But you can count on more strange weather changes...just I change business partners and situations. Be well.
Freedom J. Mix To Go Magazine www.mixtogo.net www.twitter.com www.facebook.com Looking for a great place to host your next party? Check out this beautiful loft-like space in midtown Manhattan. It can hold 250 upstairs and 150 downstairs. The only catch is the owner is VERY particular about the kind of crowd you bring in so be sure you are: 1) hosting a private event (or pre-sold tickets), 2) willing to bring your own sound, lighting, security and bar, 3) be willing to get your oen beer and wine license (if you are selling it), 4) keep your crowd mature (doesn't mean you couldn't do a family event but if you sell beer and wine your event should cater to thr 21 amd over crowd).Call Amplified Ventures for more info: (305) 707-4730
