Mix To GO Magazine is nearly 4 years in print and online...and we are now only publishing 10 issues per year, but with 24-32 pages (24 in the most current issue). This allows us to produce a better quality magazine, better quality mixes and of course, better quality parties and themed events.
We have been "distracted" by other avenues of our business, such as a travel business, a charity arm and an artist booking agency...all great and complimentary, but ultimately, the reason we are still around with 2,500+ subscribers, nearly 12,000 email subscribers and close to 1,000 ACTUAL followers on Twitter (we know most of our supporters!) plus a heavy presence on our podomatic page (nearly 200 DJs!)...we are small and independent but we relish every single person who takes a moment to look at our pages, our posts, our mixes...and we put just as much work into everything our magazine has become so YOU enjoy the quality of every issue.
This issue took longer than our deadline of a week before the launch date to produce-in fact we were finishing the last few articles on artists spotlighted right up until the 4th! Special thanks to DEE HARVEY, AHMIR, DJ STEVE NIEVES and DJ TODD LOVE for allowing us to use their images and share their art with our readers.
A final thought: you'll notice on page 17 an ad for Rhythm & Soul Records. It is our own imprint for original releases to be launched August 8 (inside the next issue). The first release is an EP of 4 tracks, epic in nature for people who love to dance. It is different from a lot of the music we publish in all of our issues, but we are sure the core of our readers will get it. ;)
Until the next issue, thanks again to everyone for supporting Mix To Go Magazine and we hope you'll tell at least one person about us today. We are not funded by any major distributor-every mag is distributed by us. Our PAY PAL account will be reset this week so you'll be able to order a subscription again directly from this website and our Facebook page. Stay cool and as always, stay in tune!
